rosensteinalm
The rosensteinalm, as part of the Containercity, is a farm that will be my studio as an art installation during the renovation of the Wagenhallen. During this time, the Alm will also be open as an exhibition and discussion venue. The rosensteinalm is orientated towards sustainable and integrative coexistence, the farm, as a counter-image to consumption- and profit-oriented urban development. Just 500 metres away, as the crow flies, is the Milaneo with 120 shops, mainly belonging to large international corporations. The rosensteinalm is a picture of short distances: home-grown vegetables, eggs laid here and therefore invites you to a joint cooking evening with residents from the neighbourhood in September. The rosensteinalm programme runs from now until the autumn and, in addition to communal meals, includes readings, lectures and an exhibition. The thematic focus of the programme is on the influence of artistic creation on urban space—what can artists do to help shape a neighbourhood? For the exhibition in September, two artists will be living and working here on the Rosensteinalm, Antje Schiffers from Berlin and Ilke Yilmaz from Istanbul.
